NASHVILLE, TENN. — Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Maddie & Tae and Vince Gill are among the country music standouts with Oklahoma ties to receive nomination­s this morning for the 52nd Annual CMA Awards.

Brad Paisley and Underwood will return for their 11th year to host the Country Music Associatio­n’s annual event, which will broadcast live from Bridgeston­e Arena in Nashville at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 on the ABC Television Network.

Lambert, a former Tishomingo resident, is nominated for three awards. Not only is the native Texan the most-awarded female in CMA Awards history with 13 total wins, but she’s also the reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, earning her 12th consecutiv­e nomination in the category this year. She garnered two nomination­s with Jason Aldean for their collaborat­ion “Drowns the Whiskey” — for Single of the Year, along with producer Michael Knox and mix engineer Jeff Braun, as well as for Musical Event of the Year, bringing her total career nomination­s to 47.

Underwood, who hails from Checotah, garnered two nomination­s: for Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as for Video of the Year for “Cry Pretty,” the clip to the poignant title track to her upcoming album.

Oklahoma-Texas duo Maddie & Tae — Maddie Marlow, of Sugar Land, Texas, and Tae Dye, of Ada — are nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year. Frequent collaborat­or Gill, who was born in Norman and grew up in Oklahoma City, earned a nod for Vocal Event of the Year for “Dear Hate,” his duet with Maren Morris.
