Cowboys unveil Big 12 schedule

- Nathan Ruiz nruiz@ oklahoman.com

The path the Oklahoma State basketball team will take through Big 12 play in coach Mike Boynton's second season was unveiled Wednesday morning.

With the Big 12's roundrobin scheduling, the Cowboys will face each of the league's other teams twice, once at home and once on the road.

OSU went 21-15 overall last season with a 8-10 mark in Big 12 play.

Here are some highlights of OSU's 2018-19 conference schedule.

A second straight Jayhawk sweep?

In Boynton's first year, the Cowboys became the first team in Kansas' Bill Self era to sweep the Jayhawks in the regular season.

They'll try to repeat the feat Feb. 9 at Allen Fieldhouse and March 2 inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

OSU's home matchup with KU will be the first nationally broadcast CBS game at GIA since 2010.

With the Cowboys also on CBS for their Feb. 16 trip to Texas, it's the first time since the 2007-08 season OSU has been on CBS twice in one regular season.

Bedlam bouts come early

Like last season, both of 2018-19's Bedlam games come in the month of January.

OSU travels south to Norman on Jan. 5, while the rivals meet in Stillwater on Jan. 22.

The Cowboys have won four of the past five Bedlam games, including last year's meeting in the Big 12 Tournament.
