Genealogy meeting to delve into DNA testing process
EDMOND — An update on DNA and genealogy will be the focus of the Edmond Genealogical Society’s Sept. 17 meeting.
Dr. Ruth H. Oneson, an Edmond Genealogical Society member, will present “DNA and Genealogy” at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1315 E 33rd.
Using DNA testing to find genealogical relationships is an evolving process. Oneson will provide an update on the complex topic.

The Edmond Genealogical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month, with speakers on subjects of interest to genealogists and historians. Free genealogy assistance is available for those who come early to the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
On Oct. 15, Sara Memmott will present “Using Google in your Genealogical Research.”
The genealogy meetings are free and open to the public. Parking and entry to the church is through the rear of the building. The church is fully handicap accessible. For more information, like the group’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ EdmondGenSoc.
