Four killed in state crashes

Four people died Tuesday and Wednesday in separate wrecks, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Mickey Dean Huddleston, 49, of Canyon, Texas

Huddleston was pronounced dead at the scene about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 136 about 3.5 miles south of Guymon in Texas County.

Huddleston was stopped in a pickup on County Road AA at a stop sign at SH 136. A pickup driven north on SH 136 by Andres Espinoza, 25, of Guymon, went left of center, off the roadway and through a ditch, then hit the pickup occupied by Huddleston. Neither driver wore a seat belt, the patrol reported.

Espinoza was flown to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas, where he was admitted in critical condition.

Donna Kay Potvin, 48, of Midwest City

Potvin was pronounced dead at the scene of a head-on collision in the 6800 block of NE 23, about 3:40 a.m. Wednesday in Midwest City, police reported.

Potvin was driving a sport utility vehicle west on NE 23 when an oncoming pickup driven at a high rate of speed by Logan Reed, 22, of Yukon, crossed the center line and collided with Potvin’s SUV.

Potvin was pronounced dead at the scene. Reed was taken to a hospital and admitted in critical condition.

Kasey Kliewer, 36, of Thomas

About 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, Kliewer died at the scene, about 7 miles north of Weatherfor­d in Custer County, the report states.

Kliewer was removing a battery from the southbound lanes of State Highway 54 when he was struck, troopers said.

The driver of the vehicle that hit him was not hurt.

Pamela Ingraham, 74, of Harrah

Ingraham died Tuesday in a collision near Lake Tenkiller in Sequoyah County about 11:35 a.m. on State Highway 82 and County Road 953, about 12 miles north of Vian.

Ingraham was driving east on the county road and turned north onto SH 82, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer driven south on SH 82 by Kinnan Briggs, 34, of Park Hill.

Briggs was not injured. Seat belts were in use in both vehicles, the patrol reported.
