Q: The Container Store will open its first Oklahoma location on Saturday. What are the details surrounding the announcement?
A: Located at 5644 N Pennsylvania Ave., The Container Store’s 92nd retail location and first Oklahoma location will be 18,000 square feet and include thousands of storage and organization products in 16 lifestyle sections, as well as unmatched service to help shoppers accomplish projects and maximize space. From a small store in Dallas in 1978, The Container Store has grown to be the leading specialty retailer of storage and organization products in the United States and the only national retailer solely devoted to the category. Now opening in Oklahoma City, we are committed to being a part of the community, giving back as well as providing timesaving solutions to Oklahomans for the promise of an organized life.
Q: What can anticipated shoppers expect from The Container Store’s grand opening weekend?
A: Doors open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and shoppers can expect prizes every hour on the hour, including a $1,000 elfa closet makeover giveaway with installation and The Container Store’s in-home organization service, Contained Home, on both Saturday and Sunday. The Shelving Sale will also be going on through Oct. 14, offering 25 percent off custom elfa designs, InterMetro and other spacesaving shelving options. Additionally, Oklahoma City’s own Eote Coffee will be providing complimentary coffee in the morning to keep visitors energized during their shopping experience.
Q: How will Oklahoma residents be able to give back to the community?
A: The Container Store is pleased to announce its charity partner, Oklahoma Zoological Society, ZooFriends, will receive 10 percent of grand opening sales. ZooFriends is a local nonprofit focused on supporting the Oklahoma City Zoo by connecting members and visitors to wildlife, nature and the environment. ZooFriends gives 100 percent of its membership dollars to the Zoo for special projects, animal habitats, education and animal welfare, and conservation initiatives locally and worldwide.
