Gospel music concerts are set
The Oklahoma United Music Gospel Association will sponsor several gospel music events in the coming weeks at Exchange Avenue Baptist Church, 1312 S Pennsylvania.
Steve Weatherford and the Reliance Trio will be the featured musical guests on 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. The Ozark Revival Quartet and Four The Cross will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29.
Admission is free at both events. A love offering will be received.

Prayer campaign to begin
NORMAN — A kickoff rally for the annual “40 Days for Life” campaign is set for 6 p.m. Sunday near Abortion Surgery Center, 2453 Wilcox Drive.
Norman is one of 415 cities from coast to coast conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from Wednesday through Nov. 4.
The speaker for the rally will be the Rev. Joe Irwin, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman. The rally will be followed by a Rosary for Life prayer service.
All prayer vigil participants will be asked to sign a statement of peace, pledging to conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner at all times.

Leadership training to be offered
“Intentional Influence” is an initiative that pairs emerging Christian leaders who have a desire to serve on local nonprofit boards with faith-driven local nonprofits.
Leaders with the initiative will host an Emerging Leader Training event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Butterfield Memorial Foundation, 8308 N May Ave, Suite 200. A “Match Night” event with more than 20 nonprofits will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at Castle Falls Special Events Center, 820 N MacArthur. Church will host ‘Celtic Cafe’
First Unitarian Church of Oklahoma City will present “Celtic Cafe” from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 29 at 600 NW 13.
The event will feature the female trio Whiskey and Pie, along with the Hill Irish Dance Ensemble. It is a benefit for the church’s Social Justice Committee and pie and spirits will be available.
Recommended donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children. The church is at NW 13th and Dewey in Midtown.

Revelation to be discussed
A Bible study of the book of Revelation will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 in the family life center at The Fellowship at Western Oaks Church of the Nazarene, 7901 NW 16.
The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

‘Mockingbird Conference’ is set
NICHOLS HILLS — All Souls’ Episcopal Church will once again host the “Mockingbird Conference” Oct. 11-13 at 6400 N Pennsylvania.
Theme for the conference is “Grace in an Age of Distraction.”
An opening reception will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at Commonplace Books, 1324 N Walker. Other conference activities will beat the church. Special guests will include Steven Paulson, Carrie Willard, the Rev. Jady Koch, Kelsi Klembara, the Rev. Christopher Yoder, Scott Johnson, the Rev. Curt Benham and Debbie and Ellis Brazeal.
Cost is $30 per person and $50 per couple.
