Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame fundraiser set for Thursday

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame will host the 2018 "Night at the Museum" Dinner and Auction on Thursday, Oct. 25.

The dinner and auction is a major annual fundraiser for the organizati­on.

The event, which includes a silent and live auction, begins at 6:30 p.m. on the concourse of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the new home of the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

Entrance to the auction will be at Warren Spahn Plaza, on the southeast entrance of the ballpark. Private parking will be available at the Joe Carter Lot for all guests with a ticket and parking pass.

Several members of the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame will be attendance including Steve Owens, Sean O'Grady, Bart Conner, Nadia Comaneci and Jason White.

Big 12 Radio to launch on SiriusXM

The Big 12 Conference and SiriusXM announced Thursday that they will launch SiriusXM Big 12 Radio, a new and exclusive 24/7 audio channel dedicated to Big 12 sports.

The channel will feature Big 12-focused sports talk and news, plus an extensive schedule of Big 12 games. It will begin Monday on select SiriousXM radios (channel 375) and other connected devices.

Among those hosting shows on the channels will be former Iowa State quarterbac­k Dave Archer; former Oklahoma defensive lineman and 1985 Lombardi Award winner Tony Casillas; former Oklahoma offensive lineman Gabe Ikard; as well as Holly Rowe, Fran Fraschilla, Tom Luginbill, George Schroeder, Matt Schick and Ari Temkin.

“The SiriusXM Big 12 Radio channel will provide the opportunit­y to reach our followers across the country with an audio 24-hour cycle of news, commentary and events,” said Bob Bowlsby, commission­er of the Big 12 Conference.
