Yukon bicyclist dead in hit-and-run
A man struck by a pickup on Monday has died and police are searching for the driver who fled the scene.
Just after 7 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 14000 block of State Highway 66 on a reported hit-and-run. At the scene, police found Gary Duvall, who had been riding a bicycle along the highway.
Duvall was taken to OU Medical Center in critical condition. He died from his injuries Tuesday morning, police said.
Authorities said Duvall, who was wearing a reflective vest, was riding the bicycle west on the highway when he was struck by a vehicle. Police later found a side mirror belonging to a black Ford F150 pickup at the scene, which is thought to be the vehicle involved in the collision.
Police are asking anyone with information about the collision to call 354-2553.

Police on Monday seized more than 1,260 pounds of liquid methamphetamine during a bust at a hotel.
Just after 9 a.m. Monday, Norman officers were investigating a tractor-trailer in the parking lot of the hotel. Officers searching the rig found what was identified as liquid methamphetamine inside the passenger-side diesel tank, according to a news release.
Officials said the bust is one of the largest in Oklahoma and that the estimated street value of the drug is thought to be about $4.4 million.
The driver of the rig, Enrique Lara, 36, of Chicago, and a passenger, Jasmine Morales, 21, of McAllen, Texas, were both arrested on complaints of drug trafficking, police reported.
