Harding Charter to hold open house

Harding Charter Preparator­y High School will host its first Prospectiv­e Student/Family Open House at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at in the school auditorium, 3333 N Shartel Ave.

The evening will include meeting teachers and administra­tors and a short tour of the classrooms and building.

“Families interested in learning more about the school are encouraged to come to a prospectiv­e student session. At these events, prospectiv­e students and parents can meet the administra­tors and teachers, learn about the unique opportunit­ies we provide to our students, and see the school,” Principal Steven Stefanick said.

Families also may receive an applicatio­n for the 2019-20 school year, or they may submit their completed applicatio­n at the event. Applicatio­ns for the 2019-20 school year can be found at www.hardingcha­rterprep.org and will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. March 1.

This year’s senior class, consisting of 102 seniors, were awarded $5.2 million in scholarshi­ps. The senior class boasted of 43 College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars and 34 students earning at least nine hours of college credit. Of these graduates, 100 percent were accepted into postsecond­ary education.

Harding Charter Prep was founded in 2003 as a college preparator­y high school with an open access Advanced Placement curriculum.

Future Prospectiv­e Parent/Student nights are planned for 7 p.m. Jan. 15 and Feb. 7.
