O-line health a wait-andsee situation for Cowboys

With starting left tackle Arlington Hambright

already sidelined by a lingering ankle injury, Oklahoma State took another hit when his replacement in the lineup — senior Shane Richards, who had been playing right tackle — suffered an injury in Saturday's win over Texas.

The 6-foot-8, 360-pound Richards appeared to injure his right leg on the first play of the second quarter.

OSU coach Mike Gundy

said on Monday that both players remain questionable to return.

"Hopefully we can get Shane back," Gundy said at his weekly news conference. "We'll know a lot more (Tuesday) on him.

"(Hambright) is on that same shelf. He was out there last week in pads and stuff, moving around, but we didn't feel like he was ready."

If neither Hambright nor Richards can play, sophomore Dylan Galloway

will likely make his first career start at left tackle when Oklahoma State visits Baylor at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Senior Deionte Noel also entered the Texas game in place of right guard Larry Williams and played well.

"We've played some musical chairs," Gundy said. "I would like to get guys settled in. I thought they maybe had their best game against Texas, just based on the quality of the guys they were trying to block. I wish we would settle in a little on that, but obviously we can't control that."

Bedlam kickoff time yet to be announced

Perhaps a sign of the level of parity in the Big 12 this season, the conference and its television affiliates chose not to set starting time for four of the conference's five games on Nov. 10.

Oklahoma State visits Oklahoma for Bedlam that day. Kickoff time will be announced next Monday.

Cowboys earn team and player recognition

Saturday’s 38-35 upset of then-No. 6 Texas drew some conference and national recognition for Oklahoma State.

OSU quarterback Taylor Cornelius, who completed 23 of 34 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for two scores, was recognized as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, a Manning Award Star of the Week and was named to the Davey O’Brien “Great 8” list for his performance.

Punter Zach Sinor shared the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors with Kansas’ Gabriel Rui. Sinor averaged 45.0 yards on four punts. His 57-yarder in the fourth quarter pinned the Longhorns at their own 2-yard line and helped set up the game-clinching touchdown.

OSU was named as the Reveal Suits National Team of the Week by the Football Writers Association of America. The win was the Cowboys’ fourth straight against opponents ranked in the top 25 of the AP Poll

Gundy had a lot of good things to say about the crowd at Saturday's win over Texas, and the fans' impact on recruiting:

"That was the best atmosphere we've had here in a long time, in my opinion. If we want to continue to grow this program, it can't just be the coaches and players; it's gotta be the people involved. I'm thankful for everybody that's here. I'm an Oklahoma State guy. Everybody has a role to play and everybody has to do their part.

"If you want to continue to develop and grow into a big-time football program, these games that we play at home, you've got to have sellouts. You have to have people there ... All the way through the game, it was loud, it was disruptive, the players felt the energy and it made a difference."
