Piedmont’s Pickard wins fan poll

Piedmont running back Davontae Pickard has won The Oklahoman’s Fans’ Choice Player of the Week poll after an outstanding performance against Woodward in which he accounted for four touchdowns to help his team clinch a playoff spot.

Pickard finished ahead of Jones running back Korbin Cox, racking up 423 votes out of 1,351 total votes.

Cox finished second with 246 votes.
