Rowe named keynote speaker for OSU softball banquet
ESPN reporter Holly Rowe will be the keynote speaker at Oklahoma State softball’s annual Diamond Club banquet on Feb. 2.
The event will be held at the Conoco Phillips OSU Alumni Center in Stillwater. Tickets can be purchased via the OSU ticket office.
Rowe has become an inspirational figure after she was diagnosed with desmoplastic melanoma, a skin cancer, in 2016.
Despite her ongoing battle with cancer, Rowe hasn’t taken a break from her job and has become a spokeswoman for cancer awareness.
Star pitcher Juarez transfers to OU
All-American softball pitcher Giselle Juarez has transferred from Arizona State to Oklahoma.
Juarez, a junior, played a big part in helping the Sun Devils reach the Women’s College World Series last season. The left-hander finished the year with a 26-6 record and 1.22 ERA.
MACU advances to NAIA Championship round of 16
Mid-America Christian University men’s soccer beat Kansas Wesleyan 2-1 in the opening round of the NAIA Championship on Saturday night in Salina, Kansas. With the victory, MACU earned a spot in the NAIA Championship round of 16. The Evangels will play Central Methodist University on Nov. 27 at OC Great Park Stadium in Irvine, California.
