OKC PR firm acquires competitio­n

Candor Public Relations will grow its footprint in Oklahoma with the acquisitio­n of a competitor, Waddell Pointer, the company announced Wednesday.

Candor did not disclose details of the agreement in a news release, and spokeswoma­n Ashley Neese said the terms are confidenti­al. Once the acquisitio­n is complete, the combined business will serve more than 60 enterprise and government organizati­ons throughout the country, the company said.

Waddell Pointer provides a broad spectrum of services to clients representi­ng business and industry, health care and not-for-profit organizati­ons. It was founded in 1989. Candor was establishe­d in 2012 and has been recognized as one of the state’s fastest-growing companies.

Karen Wicker, founder and CEO of Candor, said she looks forward to working with new brands and businesses.
