- Adam Kemp

Here are six city-area wrestlers to watch at this weekend's dual state tournament.

Piedmont coach Erik Ford says Cooley doesn't do anything flashy. He just wins. Cooley is 25-1 this season at 182 pounds and has wins at the Bristow and Chickasha tournaments.

Gabe Johnson, Choctaw

The senior for the defending dual state champ has been dominant this season at 145 pounds, taking first place at the Geary Invitational, the Jay Hancock Memorial Tournament and fourth overall at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

Cade Manion, Deer Creek

At 126 pounds and only a sophomore, Manion is a returning state placer and a hard-nosed wrestler who likes to grind out matches. Manion recently took down highly touted Carter Young of Sand Springs 9-0.

Jake McCoy, Edmond North

The senior is a two-sport star in football and wrestling. He won the Jay Hancock Memorial Tournament and the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference title this year at 220 pounds.

Cameron Picklo, Mustang

The Cornell signee became the first Mustang wrestler in 12 years to win at the Geary Tournament when he bested the No. 7-ranked wrestler in the country from Blair Academy at 160 pounds. Picklo now hopes to help lead Mustang to its firstever dual state title.

Ryder Ramsey, Tuttle

The defending state champ has a 33-3 record this season with two of his losses coming to the Nos. 1 and 2 wrestlers in the country. Ramsey wrestles at 132 pounds should help the defending champion Tigers get off to a fast start against any opponent.
