OU baseball tops Dallas Baptist

The Oklahoma baseball team defeated Dallas Baptist 4-2 Wednesday at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman, improving to 4-0 on the season.

OU freshman Ben Abram (1-0) allowed four hits and one earned run in five innings to earn his first career win. Ledgend Smith, Aaron Brooks and Zack Matthews came in relief, and shut out the Patriots ( 3- 1) over four innings.

OU catcher Justin Mitchell went 2 for 2 at the plate and scored two runs. Former Moore High School stand out Blake Brewster finished 2 for 3 and drove in a run, and center fielder Milan Walla singled and had two RBIs.

OSU men's golf takes 2nd at The Prestige Oklahoma State men's golf finished in second place Wednesday at The Prestige in La Quinta, California.

The top-ranked Cowboys finished with an overall score of 8-under 844, six strokes behind LSU.

OSU's Viktor Hovland won the individual title with a three-round total of 205 (-8).

Tickets for Big 12 women's basketball tourney on sale Single-session tickets for the Big 12 women's basketball tournament are now on sale.

The tournament will be played March 8-11 at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The tournament, which has been held in Oklahoma City f or the last four years and five of the last six, will move to Kansas City next year.

Single-session tickets are $12, $20 or $25 before fees.

All active-duty military, veterans and teachers with a valid military or school ID can purchase $5 general admission tickets at the arena box office.
