OSU baseball beats Wichita State

Colin Simpson and Andrew Navigato each homered, and Oklahoma State baseball defeated Wichita State 10-7 on Wednesday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater. Simpson went 2 for 4 with four RBIs, and Navigato finished 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Trevor Boone also recorded a multi-hit performanc­e, going 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Brett Standlee tossed two scoreless innings in relief to earn his first career win.

OU baseball falls to Dallas Baptist

The Dallas Baptist baseball team overcame a slow start and pulled away for a 7-2 victory over Oklahoma on Wednesday at Horner Ballpark in Dallas. The Sooners scored in the first inning and took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth before Dallas Baptist evened the score in the bottom of the frame. The Patriots scored three runs in the sixth inning, which was highlighte­d by a two-run triple off the bat of Evan Sandmann. Junior shortstop Brandon Zaragoza scored both runs for the Sooners and went 2 for 4 at the plate.

OSU softball defeats Wichita State

Former Yukon star went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs to help Oklahoma State softball beat Wichita State 3-0 on Wednesday at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater. Samantha Clakley and Gabby Sprang each tossed three innings for the Cowgirls. Clakley allowed just two hits before handing the ball to Sprang, who stuck out four and improved to 4-0 on the season. Samantha Show tossed a perfect inning in the seventh to earn the save.

OU's Cummins, OSU's Eckroat named to US Palmer Cup team

Oklahoma's Quade Cummins and Oklahoma State's Austin Eckroat have been selected to represent the United States at the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup, the Golf Coaches Associatio­n of America announced Wednesday. The Palmer Cup is scheduled to begin June 7 at the Alotian Club in Roland, Arkansas.

OU's Llanusa, Robertson receive Big 12 honors

Oklahoma's Ana Llanusa was named to the AllBig 12 Second Team, and Taylor Robertson was selected to the conference's All-Freshman Team on Wednesday. Llanusa, a sophomore guard, averaged 19.1 points per game during Big 12 play. Robertson, who averaged 14.1 points per game this season, ranked first in the Big 12 in 3-point percentage (46.1).
