ALL-TOURNEY TEAMS
Check out The Oklahoman's selections for the All-Tournament teams from the state basketball tournaments over the weekend
Here is a look at The Oklahoman's selections for the Classes 4A, 3A and 2A AllTournament teams from the state basketball tournaments over the weekend:
Class 4A Boys
MVP: Jett Sternberger, Kingfisher The senior saved his best for last, scoring 19 points in the championship rematch against Heritage Hall to lead all scorers and helping Kingfisher claim its second title in three years. Sternberger was also crucial on the defensive end, helping the Yellowjackets set the record for least amount of points scored by an opponent over the 3-game span.
Class 3A Boys
MVP: Jacob Germany, Kingston The 6-foot-11 big man battled flu-like symptoms throughout the state tournament, but he still proved to be unstoppable as he helped Kingston win its first ever boys basketball championship. Germany was a beast on the boards and helped control the interior, recording more than a dozen blocks.
Class 2A Boys
MVP: Justin Seay, Rejoice Christian When the Eagles needed a basket, Seay was usually the catalyst by either getting to the rim, knocking down a perim- eter shot or dishing off to a teammate. As Rejoice Christian played in its first state tournament, Seay was the steadying force along the way to the school's first championship.
4A Girls
MVP: Averi Zinn, Anadarko Zinn's constant defensive pressure led to numerous transition opportunities, helping the Warriors claim their first title since 2012. When crunch time hit, Zinn was able to out-maneuver all defenders with her ball-handling skills, breaking opposing teams' press defense with ease.
3A Girls
MVP: Autumn Hines, Adair Hines spearheaded an attack that knocked off defending two-time champion Christian Heritage Academy. When Adair needed to get a bucket or a stop on defense, Hines led the way.
2A Girls
MVP: Jalei Oglesby, Howe Oglesby's scoring prowess couldn't be contained. Whether it was a 3-pointer, driving to the basket or a jumper from the baseline, Oglesby's constant production led Howe to a title.
