Lopez throws no-hitter, OU softball tops North Texas

Mariah Lopez tossed her second no-hitter of the season, and secondrank­ed Oklahoma softball run-ruled North Texas 8-0 in five innings Wednesday at Marita Hynes Field in Norman.

Lopez, who registered one walk and struck out six, improved to 11-1 on the season. Raegan Rogers and Caleigh Clifton led the Sooners on offense. The seniors both went 2 for 2 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Tulsa softball beats OSU

Tori Stafford hit a threerun homer in the fifth inning to give Tulsa softball a 3-0 win over No. 21 Oklahoma State on Wednesday at Collins Family Softball Complex in Tulsa. Chenise Delce tossed a complete game and allowed just one hit for Tulsa, which earned its 12th victory in the last 13 games against OSU.

OU baseball downs New Mexico

Conor McKenna had two hits and drove in three runs to lead No. 25-ranked Oklahoma baseball to an 8-6 win over New Mexico on Wednesday at Santa Ana Star Field in Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico.

The Sooners improved to 18-4, and swept the two-game series after an 8-1 victory on Tuesday.

Late Tuesday: OSU baseball falls to Dallas Baptist

Dallas Baptist scored three runs in the eighth inning to beat Oklahoma State 7-5 Tuesday night at Horner Ballpark in Dallas.
