State real estate commission hires new director
The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission has named Sherry Kueffler, former longtime investigatorfor the commission, as its new executive director.
Kueffler served as acting executive director since December2018. Shewasdeputy executive director from 2016 to 2018. She started working for the commission in 1999 as an investigator and became chief investigator in 2000.
Kueffler was named to the position following a national job search andinterviews by the seven commissioners, who are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Senate. The commission licenses and regulates Oklahoma's nearly 19,000real estate license holdersand companies toprotect the public.
"She will be an effective leader and a great asset to the real estate industry," commission Chairman Doug Emde said. "Her experience, knowledge, and skills are critical in meeting commission objectives and requirements of the law."
Kueffler grew up in Midwest City. She holdsa bachelor of arts in history and a master'sin adult Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She and her husband Patrick live in Midwest City.
