Report: OU, OSU get SEC Challenge opponents

It looks like there will be a fresh start for the

SEC-Big 12 Challenge in 2020.

According to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, Oklahoma will host Mississippi State while Oklahoma State will travel to former conference foe Texas A&M.

The marquee matchup destined for a winter Saturday prime time broadcast on ESPN would likely be Kentucky at NCAA runner-up Texas Tech.

Other matchups include Tennessee at Kansas, Baylor at Florida, Missouri at West Virginia, LSU at Texas, Iowa State at Auburn, Kansas State at Alabama and TCU at Arkansas.

Times and dates have yet to be announced.

The Sooners are 0-3 alltime against Mississippi State and having played each other since a top-25 match up won by the Bulldogs 54- 45 on Dec. 28, 2002.

The Cowboys are 31-18 all-time against the Aggies, last meeting last November in Brooklyn with OSU falling 72-55.

OU women announces nonconference schedule

Oklahoma's women's basketball nonconference schedule begins with an exhibition game against Oklahoma City University and includes as many as nine games at Lloyd Noble Center.

The Sooners' host the Stars on Nov. 4 before beginning the regular season at home against Prairie View A&M on Nov. 8 as part of the Preseason NIT.

The home schedule, which could also include as many as three more P re season NIT games, also includes games against Stephen F. Austin, Abilene Christian, LSU, Sam Houston State and Drake.

Then on-conference slate wraps up with the Basketball Hall of Fame Women' s Showcase against U Con non Dec .22 inUnc as ville, Connecticut.

Oklahoma is coming off an 8-22 season but returns all five starters, including All-Big 12 Second Team pick Ana Llanusa and Big 12 All-Freshman Team selection Taylor Robertson.

Tip-off times and broadcast inform ation for all games except for the opener will be announced at a later date.

SEC-Big 12 Women's Challenge announced

The Big 12 and SEC will face off in 10 match ups over five days from Dec. 4-8, the Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday.

The Cowgirls will also travel to College Station this season, facing Texas A& Mon Dec .7. The Sooners will host LSU on Dec. 7.
