The Oklahoman

Comedy duo will be featured at `Duet'

- Staff reports

Christian comedians Anita Renfroe and Shawn Reynolds will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church of the Servant, 14343 N MacArthur.

Called "Duet," the comedy event is designed as an evening of laughter especially for couples, whether married or dating.

Renfroe, from Atlanta, is the wife of a Baptist pastor and mother of three. She was a mainstay with the popular Women of Faith conference and appeared at Church of the Servant several years ago. She became famous with her comedic rendition of things that a mother would typically say to her children in the course of a day, set to the "William Tell Overture."

Shawn Reynolds is described as a “clean comedy speaker” who has performed at many church and corporate events. He is from Lexington, Kentucky, the father of six and the winner of the 2017 "Funniest Comic East of the Mississippi" contest.

Tickets are available in three tiers. General admission tickets are $40 per couple. Tickets for a dessert package — a dessert event and meet and greet with Renfroe and Reynolds — are $60 per couple. VIP tickets, which include two tickets with priority seating, meet and greet with the comedians and the dessert event, are $75 per couple.

While the show is advertised as a “date night for couples,” singles also may enjoy the entertainment so some single tickets will be available.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for couples with VIP seating and 6 p.m. for all others.
