Edmond Santa Fe's Chartier commits to play beach volleyball at Boise State

Edmond Santa Fe volleyball stand out Rori Chartier's success on the sand earned her a college scholarshi­p.

Char tier announced her commitment to Boise State beach volleyball on Thursday night on her Twitter account.

Chartier has been an instrument­al piece for a Wolves' squad that has won consecutiv­e titles. Heading into her senior season, she will become a leader on a team that need store place a plethora of talent, including The Oklahoman's 2018 All-City Player of the Year, Kaeli Robinson.

The duo recently competed together in the USA National Beach Tour Junior Championsh­ips in Manhattan Beach, California, where t hey made it to the Silver Championsh­ip out of 64 teams.

Late Thursday: Sounds beat Dodgers 7-5

Christian Lopes doubled and singled as the Nashville Sounds beat the Oklahoma City Dodgers 7-5 in the series finale Thursday in Nashvill e , Tennessee. With the victory, Nashville avoided a sweep in the three-game series.
