Dv ora cek,a former Oklahoma and Chicago Bears defensive lineman, will make regular appearance­s both on News 9 in Oklahoma City and News On 6 in Tulsa.

Dvoracek is an analyst for college football games on ESPN and ABC. Locally, he hosts the “Monsters of the Mid-Day” radio show on WWLS.

Report: UCO hires Hoffman as men's hoops coach

Bob Hoffman has agreed to become Central Oklahoma's men's basketball coach, according to a report by Matt Reynolds of CBS Sports.

Hoffman, a Putnam City graduate, was fired at Mercer (Macon, Georgia) in March after 11 seasons. Hoffman' s tenure with Mercer was highlighte­d by a upset of Duke in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

Edmond DU event set Friday

The Edmond chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold a pre-migration gun bash on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Edmond.

Late Tuesday: Dodgers defeat Bees 9-3

Edwin Rio shit a threerun home run in the fifth inning, leading the Oklahoma City Dodgers to a 9-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees in the series opener Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

Starter Brock Stewart ( 5- 7) got t he win while Sam Freeman (0-1) took the loss in relief.

The teams faced off in the second contest of the three-game series on Wednesday night.
