It's never too early to look at the 2021 recruiting class.

For Oklahoma's high school class, it's shaping up to be a big year already.

Three in-state recruits were recently named to the 2021 ESPN Junior 300, a list of the nation's top 300 recruits.

Heritage Hall offensive lineman Melvin Swindle was the highest- rated Oklahoman, coming in at No. 227. He was followed at No. 242 by Weatherford star Ethan Downs and at No. 292 by Carl Albert running back Javion Hunt.

The 6- foot- 1, 290pound Swindle is already rated a four-star prospect by ESPN and 247Sports. com. He holds scholarship offers from Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.

Downs, who is 6 feet 4 and 235 pounds, has been the most well- known name in the class. He's listed as an athlete, but is considered a tight end or defensive end. He also plays running back for Weatherford. He already holds 10 scholarship offers, including Oklahoma, LSU, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Texas and Texas A&M.

Hunt, whose father played at OU, had a big offseason as he gathered a dozen scholarship offers. The 6- foot, 190- pound speedster was primarily a backup last season, rushing for 391 yards and 10 touchdowns on 42 carries. He did start a handful of games. He also played defense, recording 83 tackles, a sack and an interception.

Hunt holds scholarship offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Texas Tech and UCF among others.

Tulsa Washington's Phipps commits to Sooners

Trey Phipps will remain close to home, even if it isn't in the same town as he originally thought.

Less than two weeks after decommitting from Tulsa, Phipps announced Thursday on his Twitter account that he was committing to Oklahoma.

The Sooners offered Tulsa Booker T. Washington's sharpshooting guard nine days ago.

A 6-foot-1, 160-pound prospect, Phipps' recruitment gained traction this summer with his stellar performance on the AAU circuit.

Rivals rates him as a three-star guard.

Norman North's Jessika Evans commits to Tulsa

Norman North star forward Jessika Evans had a big summer, adding a handful of scholarship offers to her resume.

Now, she's ready to determine where she'll play at the next level.

Evans, a 6- foot forward who can shoot from outside, helped the Timberwolves reach the Class 6A state championship game last season.

As a junior, she scored 12.7 points and grabbed 7.4 rebounds alongside her older sister, Jacie Evans, who signed with Harding.

Jessika is the youngest sister of former Oklahoma linebacker Jordan Evans.

Guthrie golfer Bo Robbins commits to Air Force

Bo Robbins has been a pivotal piece for Guthrie's golf team during back-toback state title runs.

His stellar play grabbed attention from plenty of coaches, but Air Force stood out the most. When they made him an offer, it was an easy decision to commit.

Robbins, a senior, announced the decision to commit Monday on his Instagram account.

Robbins finished tied for fourth during the Class 5A state championship in May at Lawton Country Club.
