Cattlemen's leadership academy makes selections

Noble Research Institute research assist ant Brooks Braunagel and livestock consultant Caitlin Heb bert were selected to the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Leadership Academy (CLA) class 27.

Braun a gel joined the Noble Research Institute in 2015 and is a research assistant on Noble' s ranch es. He own sand manages a small cowcalf operation, where he practices rotational grazing and no-till planting throughout the year.

H eb bert joined the Noble Research Institute in 2018 and is a livestock consultant in Noble's producer relations program. She was raised on large cow-calf operations in far West Texas and southeaste­rn New Mexico. She earned her bachelor' s degree in animal science from West Texas A&M University and her master's degree in ruminant nutrition from New Mexico State University.

CLA is targeted for beef producers ages 25 to 40. The program is designed to develop young members through industry exposure, education and associatio­n communicat­ion. CLA consists of a series of four seminars designed to provide participan­ts the opportunit­y to explore the state' s cattle industry, gain informatio­n and network with fellow Oklahoma Cattlemen's Associatio­n members.

OKLAHOMA CITY BancFirst to pay dividend

The directors of BancFirst Corp. have declared a quarterly dividend of 32 cents per share payable Oct. 15 to shareholde­rs as of Sept. 30. The payout is an increase of 6.7 percent from the previous quarter.
