3 dead in Edmond, police say suicide-double murder
EDMOND — A man killed his fiancee and a friend early Fri day i n Edmond before taking his own life, authorities said.
The dead have been identified as Scott Garber, Sarah Semler and Adam Crawford.
Just before 2 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a call about a domestic disturbance at a home in the 2100 block of Marble-seed Court.
Police told The Oklahoman t hat t he call came f r om a friend of Semler, 30, who was engaged to Garber, 43.
As officers were responding, a second emergency call came from Garber, who said he had killed S em le rand Crawford, 30, police said. Garber said he was going to kill himself, authorities said.
Believing it could be a hostage situation, arriving officers tried to communicate with people inside the home.
When officers were unable to make contact with anyone, they approached the house and found Garber in the front yard. Authorities said Garber shot and killed Semler and Crawford before taking his own life.
Police said Garb er' s 11- year- old daughter was in the home. She was safely removed from the residence, police said.
Garber and Semler had an Oct. 28 wedding date.
On social media, Garber said he was a 20- year Air Force retired veteran who" served with distinction at multiple locations worldwide."
He also said he had been trusted with a top secret clearance since 2002.
Garber said on social media he had substantial experience as an IT administrator and program analyst with a background in inventory and warehouse management.
