3-2-1 KICK OFF

- Joe Mussatto, Staff writer

Here's what to look for when Oklahoma faces Texas at 11 a.m. Saturday.

3 players to watch

Parnell Motley: Texas expects to have 6-foot-6 receiver Collin Johnson back on Saturday. He missed the last three games with a hamstring injury. Motley, OU's most experienced cornerback, should spend a good chunk of time defending him.

CeeDee Lamb: The Longhorn secondary is beat up. Texas ranks 126th nationally in pass defense. Lamb should take advantage. He had six catches for 167 yards the last time these teams met. Gabe Brkic: The redshirt freshman has taken over place kicking duties in the wake of Calum Sutherland's indefinite suspension. Brkic has made all three of his field goal attempts, but none have come in a pressure moment. Cameron Dicker proved how important kickers can be in this game.

2 big questions

How will OU's offensive line hold up? The Sooners could be without starting tackles Erik Swenson and Adrian Ealy. Both are battling injuries. OU has started five different offensive line combinations in five games. R.J. Proctor and Tyrese Robinson are the most likely fill-ins at tackle.

How much better is OU's defense? The Longhorns torched the Sooners for 501 yards last October. The poor performance led to Mike Stoops' dismissal. The OU defense has a chance to redeem itself under first-year coordinator Alex Grinch.

1 wild prediction

Jalen Hurts will record his “Heisman moment” with a gamewinning touchdown run on OU's final drive.
