Guthrie's Jelsma Stadium advances to Round 2

Guthrie's Jelsma Stadium is moving on.

“The Rock” is in a USA Today poll that is letting fans vote on the top high school stadium in the country. Guthrie won its first round matchup against Monument Valley Stadium in Utah.

In the second round, Jelsma Stadium is matched against Raymond Torii Field in Oahu, Hawaii. Here's a descriptio­n of the stadium: “Wai'anae High School's teams are known as the Seariders for obvious reasons, and this venue is memorable for its unfettered ocean views, perfect weather and laid-back vibe. It bears the name of the first principal of the school, which opened in 1957.”

Voting in the second round is open through Monday. Fans interested in voting can check out the poll and other stadiums at usatodayhs­s. com.

OCA announces 2020 AllStae volleyball rosters

The Oklahoma Coaches Associatio­n announced rosters for the 2020 All-State volleyball matches Thursday.

The games will be played in the Mabee Center at Oral Roberts on July 28, 2020. The small school game will begin at 6 p.m. with the large school following at 7:30.

The All-State volleyball coaches will be chosen at the OCA board meeting in December.
