Series on landscaping with
native plants: Presented by the Central Chapter of the Oklahoma Native Plant Society, concludes 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7, Room 196, Horticulture Building, Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, 400 N Portland Ave. Connie Scothorn, landscape architect, will talk on landscaping with natives suited for Oklahoma's climate.

Author talk: Benjamin Vogt, author of “A New Garden Ethic: Cultivating Defiant Compassion for an Uncertain Future,” will talk about sustainable landscape design and environmental philosophy, 1 p.m. Saturday, Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W Reno Ave., at Park House Event Center. Little Saplings: 10 to 11 a.m. every other Tuesday to Dec. 3, Children's Garden Porch, Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W Reno Ave. Best for ages 2 to 5. Register by the Friday before at myriadgardens.org.
