- By Cameron Jourdan Staff writer cjourdan@oklahoman.com

Time to clinch a playoff spot is running out.

There are only two weeks l eft i n the regular season, meaning two more chances to secure a playoff spot and clinch district titles. A strong slate of games shows this week will be full of exciting moments.

Here are The Oklahoman's top 10 games of Week 9:

1. Class 6A-I No. 7 Edmond Santa Fe (6-2, 4-1) at No. 2 Jenks (5-3, 4-1): Edmond Santa Fe

has rolled in district play after losing to Yukon, but Jenks has done much of the same after a two-point loss to Broken Arrow. The winner likely hosts a first-round playoff game.

Jenks' offense has scored at least 49 points in its past four games, so can Santa Fe pull off more magic to top the other East power in its district?

2. Class 3 A No .5 John Marshall (7-1,4-1) at No. 6 Perkins-Try on (7-1,4-1):

Heritage Hall handed each team its lone loss of the season. The winner of this matchup clinches a playoff berth and likely a first-round home playoff game.

3. Class 6A-I No. 5 Mustang (5-3,3-2) at No .9 Putnam North (6-2, 3-2): Both teams

come off two- touchdown l osses l ooking for wins to propel them into the playoff discussion. Mustang running back Harvey Phillips looks to outdo his counterpart, Putnam North's Zach Dortch.

4. Class 6A-I No. 4 Norman (6-2, 3-2) at No. 10 Westmoore (6-2,3-2): Similar to last season, the winner of this matchup has the upper hand at making the playoffs. The loser, however, faces a big hole with only a week t o make up.

5. Class 6A-II No. 7 Choctaw (5-3, 3-2) at No. 8 Midwest City (3-5, 3-2): Although Midwest

City is coming off a loss to rival Del City, the Bombers' stingy defense looks to ground a strong Choctaw attack, with quarterback Thad Williams leading the way. A win for either team almost guarantees a playoff berth.

6. Class 5A No. 5 Noble (7-1, 5- 0) at No. 9 Ardmore ( 5- 2, 4-1): Noble will secure a

district title with a victory, but Ardmore could possibly secure a first-round home playoff game if it knocks off the Bears.

7. Class 2A No. 8 Luther (8-0, 5-0) at Chisholm (6-2, 5-0):

A de- facto district championship game, t he winner will likely get the top seed in playoff seeding. Luther has rolled, but Chisholm's only two losses are to Class 4A opponents.

8. Class 6A-I No. 8 Moore (5-3, 4-1) at No. 1 Owasso (8-0, 5-0):

Moore upset the Rams last season, but it faces a larger task this season. Owasso has rolled each opponent but will f ace a challenge stopping Moore's Daniel Hishaw Jr.

9. Class 4A Sallisaw (6-2, 4-1) at No. 6 Broken Bow (6-2, 4-1):

Both teams' only district loss is to Poteau, so a victory in this matchup likely means home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

10. Class 2A No. 4 Sperry (8-0, 5-0) at Dewey (6-2, 4-1):

Defending state champion S perry is rolling behind Walker Niver and its stout defense. Dewey, however, is looking for an upset a week before the Sperry and Beggs rematch.

Note: All games Friday.
