HORNETS 109, PISTONS 106:

Malik Monk hit a 3- pointer at the buzzer to give the Charlotte Hornets the victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.

Monk finished with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting to help the Hornets snap a fourgame losing streak. Terry Rozier added 19 points and Devonte Graham overcame a slow start to finish with 18 and 10 assists.

In what has become a disturbing trend for the Hornets, they started slow and dug themselves an 11-2 hole after missing six of their first seven s hots. Charlotte ( 5 - 7) has trailed by double digits in all 12 games this season.

But the Hornets would battle back from 14 down in the third quarter to ti e the game heading into the final quarter on a buzzer-beater 3 from Cody Zeller. Charlotte then opened the fourth quarter on a 13-5 tear behind Graham's shooting and Monk's coastto-coast layups.

Blake Griffin had 19 points on 6- of -19 shooting after missing the last three games with left hamstring and posterior knee soreness. The Pistons have lost four straight.

MAGIC 111, SPURS 109: Evan Fournier scored 26 points, including a couple of late 3-pointers, and the Orlando Magic rallied late to beat San Antonio.

Terrence Ross had 10 of his season-high 20 points in the fourth quarter for Orlando.

DeMar DeRozan scored 21 for the Spurs, who shot 50.6 percent from the field but gave up 64 points in the second half.

Orlando ran off 12 straight points early in the third quarter and took a 69-66 lead on a 3 by Fournier.

Patty Mills and Jakob Poeltl provided points off the bench to pull the Spurs back ahead. They were up 99- 92 when LaMarcus Aldridge hit a 3 with 4:42 left.

A flagrant foul call helped the Magic maintain their lead in the final seconds.

ROCKETS 111, PACERS 102:

James Harden scored 44 points and the Houston Rockets used a big fourth quarter run to pull away and get a win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.

Houston has won a seasonhigh six games in a row and Harden has scored 36 points or more in five straight games to carry the Rockets as they deal with injuries to Clint Capela, Eric Gordon and Danuel House.

Hard en took over late, scoring the last 12 points and making two 3-pointers. The Pacers couldn't do anything offensively as Houston built its lead and missed seven shots and had two turnovers.

The Pace rs, who were already without Myles Turner and J er emy Lamb because of injuries, played most of Friday' s game without Malcolm Brogdon after he left in the first quarter with a sore lower back.
