Pearl Jam, others announce stops in Oklahoma
For Oklahoma music l overs, 2020 i s already shaping up to be a good year for concerts, with three notable shows at three different venues announced Monday.
Pearl Jam at The 'Peake
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Pearl Jam is returning to Oklahoma City for an April 6 concert at Chesapeake Energy Arena, 100 W Reno.
The Oklahoma City date is one of just 16 shows in 14 different cities to be announced, according to the OKC venue's announcement.
Pearl Jam will release its eagerly awaited 11th studio album, "Gigaton," March 27.
It is the band's first studio album since the Grammy Award-winning "Lightning Bolt," which was released in October 2013.
The band played The 'Peake in 2013 in support of that album.
Tickets for Pearl Jam's North American concerts will be made avail able through a Ticketmaster Verified Fan registration and ticket presale, a Ten Club presale for eligible members and a general public ticket sale.
Ticketmaster Verified Fan registration closes on Wednesday.

The Verified Fan presale begins at 10 a.m. Jan. 23.

Pearl Jam joins a growing list of top tours coming to The 'Peake in 2020, which is also bringing Cher, Elton John, Michael Buble and Maroon 5 to OKC this year.
It follows the arena ranking No. 50 in the United States and No. 87 worldwide on Pollstar's 2019 Year-End Top Arenas list, capping a successful 2019 in which the venue reported an increase in the number of events, overall ticket sales and gross dollars from concert ticket sales.
Matchbox Twenty at the Zoo Amp
Oklahoma City's Zoo Amphitheatre, 2101 NE 50, made its first concert announcement of 2020 Monday, revealing that multi platinum pop-rock band Matchbox Twenty' s more than 50-date summer tour will include an Aug. 17 stop at the venerable OKC outdoor venue.
All dates will fe atu re special guest The Wallflowers.
Matchbox Twenty fan club members can purchase tickets beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
OKC tickets go on sale to the general public starting at noon Friday at www.zooampokc.com and www. dcfconcerts. com.
Citi is the official presale credit card of the tour.
As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase pres ale tickets beginning 10 a.m. Wednesday until 10 p.m. Thursday through Citi Entertainment.

Lenny Kravitz at Tulsa's new Hard Rock Live
The Hard Rock Hotel &Casino Tulsa ,770 W Cherokee Street in Catoosa, will mark the debut of i ts Hard Rock Live, with an April 26 concert by four-time Grammy winner Lenny Kravitz.
Tickets start at $99.50 and go on sale Jan. 23.
The 45,000- squarefoot venue formerly known as The Joint: Tulsa opened in 2010 with a concert by t he Doobie Brothers.
A five-time nominee for the Academy of Country Music's Casi no of t he Year – Small Capacity, the 2,700-seat venue has hosted more t han 400 concerts featuring notable acts like Oklahoma natives Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder, KISS, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Ringo Starr and more.
Starting with Kravitz's April show, the venue will join six other established locations within the national Hard Rock Live brand. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is the flagship property of Cherokee Nation Entertainment.
