Rickey Hunt fired one 3-pointer after another.

The Millwood freshman caught fire in the first quarter against Oklahoma Christian School, hitting four 3-pointers.

The impressive play of Hunt and several other players helped Class 3A top-ranked Millwood notch a 75-62 home victory on Tuesday night. Millwood coach Michael Jeffries knew the sixthranked Saints (10-2) presented challenges. He was proud of the way his role players rose to the occasion.

“I knew they were going to be good,” he said. `They're always a tough opponent. They kind of came in, blocking out both of my top guys, Myles (Jeffries) and Isaiah (Williams), and threw us off a little bit.”

Hunt led the Falcons (10-6) with 20 points. Harold Bagby also had a big night, finishing with 13 points. Millwood trailed by three points entering the fourth and pulled away behind a 13-point quarter from Williams.

DEL CITY 76, EL RENO 45

Nathaniel Goodlow stole the El Reno pass before sprinting toward his basket with no defender in front of him.

He rose and hammered a strong right-handed dunk, bringing Del City's crowd to its feet. The senior guard punctuated his historic night with a thunderous dunk, giving the crowd more to cheer about as the game's final minutes ticked off the clock.

Goodlow helped led the Class 5A No. 1 Eagles to a 76-45 victory against El Reno on Tuesday at John Smith Fieldhouse. He poured in 14 points and surpassed 1,000 for his career, and Keyondre Young paced all scorers with 18 points.

“It's extremely special,” Del City coach Lenny Hatchett said. “It goes back to his work and the responsibility that he has since he's been a freshman.”

Demontreal Crutchfield also scored 14 points while Sherod Davis added 10. Del City (11-0) jumped to a double-digit lead after the first quarter and didn't look back. El Reno scored the game's first basket, but the Eagles responded with a 13-point run, forcing the Indians to call a timeout. Darius Moonez scored 14 points for El Reno (7-6).

GIRLS MOORE 54, NORMAN NORTH 47

The Moore girls basketball team's defense found a way to stifle Norman North. The Lions went on a big run in the final minutes of the game, shutting down the Timberwolves and coming away with a 54-47 home victory Tuesday. For the final three minutes, Class 6A No. 7 Moore held No. 9 Norman North without a score after the Timberwolves tied the game at 47 with a pair of Kayton Kite free throws.

“They were hitting shots, we had a long talk about our defensive effort,” Moore coach Brent Hodges said. “First half was not good and then coming back second half when we really got focused on defense, it made me feel a lot better for where we're going right now defensively.”

Aaliyah Moore and the 2020 Homecoming Queen Ashanti Day anchored the Lions' offense, as they combined for 50 of Moore's 54 points: Moore with 28 and Day with 22.

“They're awesome,” Hodges said. “I thought Day played like a senior, really calmed us down at times, had some great assists and then Aaliyah Moore is Aaliyah Moore. Sometimes I don't think she's going to score and she pulls a rabbit out of a hat and gets a bucket.”

DEL CITY 53, EL RENO 43

Janazya Fasley grabbed the rebound, gave a pump fake to throw off a defender and rose for an easy layup. The forward on Del City's girls basketball team took over in the fourth quarter, as the Class 5A Eagles scored the final nine points to top No. 8 El Reno 53-43 on Tuesday at John Smith Fieldhouse. Fasley`s five points all came during that stretch.

The back- and- f orth contest featured big runs from both teams, though Del City owned a point advantage going to the fourth quarter after trailing by two at halftime. The Eagles (6-5) forced 19 El Reno turnovers. BB Polk led Del City with 14 points, while El Reno's Ashlyn Evans-Thompson paced all scorers with 18 points.

Del City's AJ Smithers, who finished with nine points, left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury after missing a layup and coming down on a defender's shoe.
