Foundation gives memorial $500K matching grant
The Kirk patrick Family Foundation is tea ming up with the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation to help preserve and improve the memorial and museum for future generations.
The Kirk patrick Family Fund announced on Monday a $500,000 matching grant to support the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation' s 25 th Anniversary Looking Back, Thinking Forward campaign.
The dollar-fordollar challenge grant will match $500,000 in donations made to support the organization's endowment, for a total of a $1 million in potential donations.
“We appreciate Christian Keesee and the Kirkpatrick Family Fund f or continuing their legacy of giving for decades ,” said Bob Ross, Chairman of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. “Thanks to their generous commitment, the memorial and museum is positioned to leave a lasting inspirational and educational impact on every person who visits.”
The Oklahoma City National Memorial &Museum receives no annual funds from federal, state, or local governments.
The memorial a nd museum runs entirely on donations.
The partnership with Kilpatrick is just part of t he memorial and museum's $14 million capital/endowment campaign.
