Embiid dons No. 24 for Bryant and scores 24 in win

Wearing No .24 in honor of Kobe Bryant, Joel Embiid scored 24 points in his first game in three weeks, leading Philadelph­ia to a 115-104 win over Golden State on Tuesday night.

Embiid and the rest of the Sixers wore No. 24 and No. 8 Bryant jerseys in warmups in honor of the Los Angeles Lakers star, who was killed Sunday in a helicopter crash.

Em bi id was granted permission from Hall of Famer Bobby Jones to wear the retired No. 24 instead of his usual 21 for his first game since he tore a ligament in a finger in his left hand.

Tip-ins

Pacers: Victor Oladipo expects to make his long-anticipate­d season debut Wednesday when the Indiana Pacers host Chicago.

Oladipo hasn't played since rupturing a quad ten don during the first half of a January game last year against Toronto.

Coach Nate McMillan told reporters Tuesday that Oladipo's minutes will be limited until after the All-Star break.

Mavericks: Dallas center Dwight Powell underwent surgery to repair a torn right Achilles ten don, an injury that ended his season.
