A murder co- defendant who agreed to testify for prosecutors Wednesday implicated two others, including the alleged gunman, in the fatal shooting of a man more than seven years ago.

Mi ci ah Raymond Fauteux, 27, said he was promised a reduced sentence in exchange for his testimony at the trial of Anthony Coldiron-Rangel. Coldiron-Rangel, 25, and four others were charged with first-degree murder in the death of Cody Davis, 21, on Nov. 5, 2012.

Davis' girlfriend at the time of his death told investigators that he went to to meet someone to sell about seven ounces of marijuana.

After his 2018 arrest in Shawnee, Oklahoma City investigators interviewed Coldiron-Rangel, who said he had been involved in Davis' death. He said he and four other people drove to meet Davis to“rob Cody of his drugs.” He said two people walked up to Davis' car and one person pulled out a gun and pointed it at Davis' head. Coldiron-Rangel said Davis moved in the car as if he was reaching for a gun and was shot multiple times.

Fauteux, wearing orange j ail clothes and long sleeves to cover tattoos, told jurors in Oklahoma County District Judge Natalie Mai' s court room he arranged the drug deal then over heard Cold iron-Range land Hill discussing a plan to rob Davis.

“I got a bad feeling,” he testified.

Fauteux said he got out of the car and tried to notify Davis by text when he heard two others exit the car behind him. He identified the men as Coldiron-Rangel and Hill, and said Hill pulled the trigger.

“He told me that he had just killed someone,” Fauteux said.
