Livestock report from the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 960; Last week: 707; Last year: 1,085 Receipts: Monday: 12,616 Slaughter cows sold steady on lean cows, while other classes were too lightly tested with a higher undertone noted. Slaughter bulls sold $5 higher. Demand good. A abundance of thin cows headed to pasture were on offer. A total of 448 cows and bulls sold with 42 percent going to packers. Supply included: 53% Feeder Cattle; 32% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls); 14% Replacemen­t Cattle (86% Bred Cows, 14% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 0%. Slaughter Cows: 1,0001,650 lbs. Average dressing Breaker, Boners and Lean cows $50-$62; High dressing $66-$69.50; Low dressing $39-$54; Very Low dressing $30-$38.50. 775-1,000 lbs. Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 2-4 year old 8251,050 lb. cows bred second trimester $600-$885/head; 5-10 year old 975-1,475 lb. cows bred second to third trimester $600-$925/head. Bred Heifers: Not tested. Pairs: Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 5-10 year old 1,025-1,425 lb. cows with <150-300 lb. calves $925-$1,285/pair.
