SGA selected for Rising Stars game
Thunder guard Sh ai Gilgeous-Alexander will represent the World Team in the Rising Stars game at All-Star weekend.
The rosters were announced Friday morning. The Rising Stars game, for NBA rookies and sophomores only, pits 10 players from the United States against 10 international players. It will tip-off at 8 p.m. on Feb. 14 in Chicago. TNT will have the broadcast.
Gilgeous-Alexander will make his second appearance in the game. He scored 15 points with six assists and five rebounds in Team World's 161-144 loss last year.
Former Sooner Trae Young will represent the U.S. Team.
There area record four Canadians on the World Team roster: Gilgeous-Alexander, Knicksgu ar dR J Barrett, Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke and Pelicans guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
Gil geous- Alexander and Alexander-Walker are cousins. They were high school teammates at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Gilgeous-Alexander, heading into Friday night, was averaging 19.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
The 21-year-old ranks fourth among NBA sophomores in
points per game and sixth in rebounds per game.

Ferguson remains out
Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson remained out Friday for personal reasons.
Ferguson last played two weeks ago. He's missed eight games since then.
Ferguson has started all 36 games he's played this season. Rookie Luguentz Dort, playing on a two-way contract, has made seven starts in Ferguson's absence.
The Suns were the more shorthanded side Friday night.
Phoenix forward Dario Saric played just four minutes before exiting with an ankle injury. The Suns were already without center Aron Baynes and forwards Frank Kaminsky and Cameron Johnson.
