Total Healthcare Partners helped bring Route 66 Landing into this world, and now the doctors are in the house —their brand-new office building, the anchor of the development at NW 39 Expressway and Kilpatrick Turnpike.

The 10 physicians and support staff of t he health facility, formerly Gilbert Medical Center in Bethany, moved in last week amid the coronavirus.

Dr. Wade McCoy said he and his colleagues have relied more on virtual patient visits and are checking people' s temperature before letting them enter because of the pandemic.

Total Healthcare Partners' decision to move to Route 66 Landing, on the northeast corner of the intersection, enabled McGee Commercial Real Estate to go forward with the development in 2018.

Clark Construction Inc. built the $7 million, twostory ,46,780- square-foot medical office building, one of its specialties.

The design is by Moore architect Ron Costigan.

"This new building is more than a clinic. It is a medical center," McCoy said.

The center, at 4400 Grant Blvd., has full lab and X-ray capabilities, urgent care, a wellness and longevity clinic, optometry, pharmacy, and durable medical equipment. Select Physical Therapy shares the building.

The physician owners, most of them family medicine specialists, are McCoy, Paul Rothwell, S. Dean Brown, David E. Fisher, Joseph C. Broome, Dustin R. Baker, Russell D. Ingram, Stuart Lisle, Holly Goracke and Anton Dreier.

The 60- acre Route 66 Landing, on a sliver of Oklahoma City between Yukon and Bethany, is changing the dynamics of the area, said Chad Arnold, marketing director f or McGee Commercial Real Estate. The medical center is speeding up the transformation, he said.

"The traffic out here is — we're already seeing an uptick," he said, noting that people who think there is nothing west of Beth any would be surprised.

In addition to Total Healthcare Partners, Route 66 Landing is now the home of McGee Commercial Real Estate, which moved from Yukon. It also includes a multi tenant office building and retail center. Locations of Cornerstone Bank, Keller Williams Realty Elite, First American Title Co. and others are planned or under construction.
