MEMORIES!
DEAR MELBA: I've started cleaning out my file drawers and found recipes, patterns, etc., from your column dating back to ages ago. I decided to return some of my favorites in case you want them.

I went through and chose to share some of the things Virginia shared.
One thing that might be needed soon is a message from Frieda Cassidy, of Edmond: If deer are eating vegetables from your garden, beat 8 eggs, add 2 gallons water and spray on the garden. The deer will not come back.
A good sounding dip is TexMex Dip.
TEX-MEX DIP
• 2 cans (10 ounces each) bean dip
• 3 avocados, mashed
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
• 1 package (1 1/4 ounces) taco seasoning mix
• 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
• 3 large tomatoes, chopped
• 1 can (8 ounces) black olives, chopped
Mix bean dip, mashed avocados and remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Serve with large corn chips.
Makes 6 cups.
And since filing income tax has been changed to July this year, you might like this.
