Jerry A. White, age 86, of Moore, passed away July 13th, 2020. He was born May 9, 1934 in Sedan, Kansas to Ollie W. White and Gladys I. (Collins) White. He was married to Betty Ann Herren on December 9, 1956 in Eureka, Kansas. He graduated from Childress, Oklahoma High School. He also attended Oklahoma A&M. Jerry work for 37 years in the oil and gas industry retiring from BP. Jerry was an Army Veteran and served overseas in Germany. Jerry was a little league coach and umpire and also served on the Moore Park and Recreation Board. Jerry was recognized with the MVP Above and Beyond Award presented by Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum for his volunteer work at the memorial. He is survived by sons Jerry Michael and wife Tina, Bruce Allen and wife Jean, daughter-in-law Cynthia; grandchild­ren Joshua Michael, Jacob Matthew, Marcie Kristine Stevens and husband Lincoln and Casey Daniel; two great grandsons Jax Michael White and Samuel Scott Stevens; and great granddaugh­ters Anabelle Jean Stevens and Sophie Ann Stevens; also, brother Ollie W. White Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Ann, son Jeffrey Scott, and brothers Jack, Chris, and sister Lucy Ann Visitation will be Thursday July 16, 2020 at John Ireland Funeral Home. Formal Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday July 17, 2020 at the Moore Cemetery under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Heart of America Council Boy Scouts of America Camp Staff Scholarshi­p Endowment Fund, 10210 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
