Man accused of lewd acts with a minor

EL RENO — A Noble man has been arrested and accused of lewd acts with a child after investigators conducted an undercover social media operation for more than a year.

On Thursday, the Canadian County sheriff's office arrested former Ma comb fire fighter Charles Guess, 37, f or allegedly communicating sexually with a minor in Canadian County.

The sheriff' s office used an under cover investigator who used a popular social media site.

Guess talked with the undercover investigator since June 2020 and the conversation became sexual in nature, authorities said. Guess is alleged to have talked to the decoy about having sex with her and if she had a problem with being with older guys.

As the con versati on continued, Guess described in detail the various sexual act she was going to perform when they met.

During the investigation, Guess stated he had other sexual relationships with underage females, authorities said.

A meeting was set up and Guess planned to travel to Gold's Gym in Canadian County to pick up what he believed was a 14-year-old female for sex, investigators said.

Guess' s plan was to take her to a nearby park to rape her in his truck and then take her to Sonic Drive-in later, authorities said.

When Guess arrived at the meeting point, Canadian County sheriff's deputies surrounded him and made an arrest. He was apprehended without incident and interviewed.

During his arrest, Guess possessed a photograph of a 13-year-old female in his wallet, which he obtained from his church, investigators said. Authorities are working to determine her identity and whether she is a sex crime victim.

Guess was booked into the Canadian County jail and is waiting for bond to be set.

“I'm extremely happy with this arrest, and I'm praying we can identify the other underaged girls Guess told us he had sex with so he can be charged for those crimes, as well,” Canadian County Sheriff Chris West said in a statement.
