Heritage Trust names new CEO

J. Aaron Jack has been promoted from chief developmen­t officer to CEO of Oklahoma City-based Heritage Trust Company after the previous chief executive left to join Gov. Kevin Stitt's staff.

Heritage Trust Company is a subsidiary of fiduciary wealth management firm Argent Financial Group, which has offices in 12 states and manages more than $ 30 billion. Along with the promotion, Jack has also been elected to the Heritage board of directors.

Heritage Trust cofounder S. Bond Payne Jr. was tapped to serve as Stitt's chief of staff. Payne will relinquish his day-to-day duties at Heritage Trust, but will remain chairman of the board and involved in the company in an advisory capacity.

Before his promotion to CEO, he spent five years as vice president, director of developmen ta nd marketing, before being named chief developmen­t officer in 2018 and assuming responsibi­lity of marketing, sales and business developmen­t for Argent Financial Group's entire 12- state footprint.

He has served on several boards, including the We sW el ker Foundation, Downtown Club and the Isaiah Stone Foundation. He is also a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City Class 33 and participat­e son the board of advisers for the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce on behalf of Heritage.
