Humphreys Capital changes leadership team

Kirk Humphreys, founder of Humphreys Capital, announced Tuesday a leadership transition that promotes his two sons, Blair Humphreys and Grant Humphreys, to the roles of chief executive officer and president, respective­ly.

Kirk Humphreys will become executive chairman of the Oklahoma City company in changes that take effect immediatel­y.

“These adjustment­s align perfectly with our fiveyear transition plan,” Kirk Humphreys said. “We have an amazing team and a prudent structure to help us execute our strategies, which have been highly successful.”

Under the new lines of authority, as president, Grant Humphreys will oversee investor relations.

The company may be best known publicly for its affiliated Carlton Landing developmen­t

near Eufaula, which has been overseen by Grant Humphreys, and Wheeler in Oklahoma City, which is being developed by Blair Humphreys.

The investment funds account f or $ 400 million raised by three funds overseen by Humphreys Capital, which is a real estate investment company that acquires, develop sand operates income-producing, multisecto­r properties including industrial, multifamil­y, office and retail.

“Kirk and I have worked together for 13 years ,” Grant Humphreys said. “I've been blessed to have him as a mentor. We are confident in a smooth transition for our team and the investors we serve.”

In his role as CEO, Blair Humphreys will oversee investment­s, accounting and operations.

“We plan to continue on course and operate in much the same way we always have,” Blair Humphreys said. “Over the past eight years, we've assembled a talented team with a proven track record.

Our mission of focusing on income-producing real estate and faithful stewardshi­p of investor's capital remains the same.”

Kirk Humphreys will retain his roles as chairman of the company' s Investment Committee and the Humphreys Fund I Board.

The changes do not affect ownership of the company or compensati­on, nor do they involve any financial transactio­ns. The ownership and management of Humphrey s-related entities such as Carlton Landing and Wheeler District remain unchanged.
