Workshops

“Grow Your Own”: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12, Oklahoma County Extension Center, 2500 NE 63. Cost is $10, including take-home transplants and seeds. Focus on growing fruits and vegetables, designed for beginning gardeners. Held in accordance with CDC guidelines. Space is limited. Attend “virtually” online for free. Events

Garden Party With Friends: 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 18, Will Rogers Gardens, 3400 NW 36. Presented by Friends of Will Rogers Gardens Foundation. Free. Outdoors. Music, kid- and family-friendly activities, food trucks and more. Silent auction of original artworks and garden-themed items to raise money for the Friends Foundation.

Guided Walking Tour: 10-11 a.m. Aug. 29, Sept. 26, Oct. 31, Nov. 28, Dec. 26, Myriad Botanical Gardens. Free. Meet in South Lobby Visitor Center. Geared toward adults; children and leashed dogs welcome.
