More than a dozen arrested in Okemah drug sweep

More than a dozen people were in custody by noon Wednesday after authoritie­s swept through Okfuskee County on meth traffickin­g bust.

State and local law enforcemen­t agencies served nearly two dozen warrants against people bringing large amounts of me th into Okemah, authoritie­s said.

“A total of 22 defendants were identified. Four of the 22 were already in custody as we began serving warrants this morning,” said Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control Spokesman Mark Woodward.

By 11 a.m .,15 of 22 people targeted in the sweep were in custody. They face state and federal charges, including drug traffickin­g and drug distributi­on.

Agencies involved in the sweep were the Creek Nation Lighthorse Police Department, the Okemah Police Department, the Okfuskee County Sheriff's Department, and the District 24 Drug Task Force.

According to OB N, these are the people who were in custody early Wednesday:

Jackie Charles Bible, 57; Salena Virginia Carter, 49; Kaitlin Lee Chaffin, 27; Hiawatha Ly dell Davis, 62; Kristin Michelle Green, 30; Kimberly Ann Jones, 37; Michael Wayne Lambert ,51; Roxanne Kay Lancaster, 44; Curtis Wayne Log gins ,55; Vernon Shawn Miller, 37; Robert Matthew Noyes, 33; Jenny Marie Renfroe, 33; Amenta La Sai Stevens, 38; Amanda Gayle Vasquez, 34; John Edward Wilson, 39.
