Compared to last sale Sept. 1, 2020: Slaughter cows sold unevenly steady. Slaughter bulls not well tested with light receipts from last sale, but a higher undertone was noted. Demand good. A total of 431 cows and bulls sold with 53 percent going to packers. Note, The estimated dressed cost will be suspended until further notice. Supply included: 53% Feeder Cattle (100% Steers); 25% Slaughter Cattle (84% Cows, 16% Bulls); 22% Replacemen­t Cattle (81% Bred Cows, 15% Cow-Calf Pairs, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs. was 0%.

Slaughter Cows: 1,0001,700 lbs. Average dressing Boners and Breakers $59-$67; Lean Cows $59.50-$65.50; High dressing all grades $68-$69.50; Low dressing $50-$59, Very Low Dressing $42-$47.50. 750-1,000 lbs.

Light weight cows Average dressing $58-$59; High dressing not tested; Low dressing $46.50-$54, Very Low dressing $31-$38.

Slaughter Bulls: 1,3502,250 lbs. Average dressing $86-$95; High dressing $95.50-$103.50; Low dressing $77-$84.

Replacemen­t Cows: Pretested for pregnancy and age. Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 2-4 year old 9501,175 lb. cows 1st thru 2nd trimester $660- $950/head; 2-4 year old 1,500 lb. cows 3rd trimester $1,225/head; 5-8 year old 875-1,475 lb. cows 1st thru 3rd trimester $700-$1,000/head.

Bred Heifers: Pretested for pregnancy and age. Not establishe­d.

Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 2-4 year old 1,050 lb. cows with <150 lb. calves $1,075/pair; 2-4 year old 1,000-1,100 lb. cows with 150-300 lb. calves $750-$925/pair; 5-8 year old 925 lb. cows with 150-300 lb. calves $1,025/pair.
