What fans attending OU-Texas need to know

For 91 years, the annual Red River Showdown between OU and Texas has been featured inside Cotton Bowl Stadium during the State Fair of Texas.

This season, there is no fair. Time-honored traditions are completely different.

But limited fans will be allowed into the game, which is set for 11 a.m. on Fox.

Here is what fans need to know about this weekend's game and policies:

• In-stadium fan capacity is limited to 25%.

• Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow extra time for security checks both at the fair and stadium.

• Parking opens at 8 a.m. and can be accessed at Gates 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11. Each car costs $25 and every person must have a ticket to the game. Payment options include cash, credit cards and Apple/Google Pay. There is no valet service this season.

• Fans are required to wear an appropriat­e cloth or surgicalst­yle mask that cover the nose and mouth completely at all times. Clear face shields, gaiters, buffs, bandanas or masks with valves are not permitted. Masks can be removed temporaril­y only if necessary, for eating and drinking inside the stadium seating bowl or common areas.

• A clear-bag policy must also be followed which allows each fan either a bag or tote that's clear plastic not bigger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, 1-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags or a small clutch or purse not bigger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches. Prohibited bags include fanny packs, mesh or straw bags,

duffel bags, backpacks, cases, plastic bags or totes, large purses or non-clear merchandis­e bags. Diaper bags are not allowed, but items normally in those bags can be placed in approved clear bags for entry. • Fans must enter the stadium at the assigned gate listed on their ticket.

• Outdoor concession­s open at 8 a.m. Gates into Cotton Bowl Stadium and concession­s open at 9 a.m.

• Fletcher's Corny Dog will have four stands, including one inside the stadium. Others will be outside the stadium.
