Museum brews up new twist to fundraiser
Guests who attend Oklahoma City Museum of Art's annual ARTonTAP beer-tasting fundraiser will find the surroundings a little different this year.
Instead of its usual museum location, the 17th annual ARTonTAP event will be spread from Friday through Nov. 1 at several local breweries, including Anthem Brewing Co., Frenzy Brewing Co., Lively Beerworks, Stonecloud Brewing Co., Twisted Spike Brewery and Tap Room, and Vanessa House Beer Co.
“ARTonTAP is a great way to support the museum, as well as our local breweries and distributors,” said Kimberley Worrell, Oklahoma City Museum of Art development director. “Every year, guests can taste over 80 varieties of beer, many of which were new to Oklahoma. While we felt that we could not responsibly host the event at the museum this year due to the pandemic, the spirit of the event lives on in exclusive promotions guests can enjoy throughout the city.”
“ARTonTAP: Taproom Edition” will be spread over the course of a week to allow opportunity for social distancing. Guests can support the Oklahoma City Museum of Art in the following ways:
• Lively Beerworks: Stop by Lively Beerworks between Friday and Nov. 1 for a pint, and purchase a limited addition Oklahoma City Museum of Art glass while supplies last. Proceeds from the glassware sales will benefit the museum.
• Vanessa House Beer Co.: Visit Vanessa House on Friday for a beer and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art will receive a portion of the proceeds.
• Anthem Brewing Co.: Beginning Friday, try out the limited-edition Blackberry Cézanne (saison) at Anthem and the purchase will benefit the museum.
• Stonecloud Brewing Co.: On Friday and
Saturday, take a seat inside the all new “Lager Lounge” at Stonecloud.
All 16-ounce pours of lagers will be half price, with proceeds going to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
• Frenzy Brewing Co.: Friday through Nov. 1, Frenzy will be selling a custom glass benefiting the museum. Visit on Oct. 29, and 10% of all taproom sales will benefit the museum.
• Twisted Spike Brewery and Tap Room: Enjoy a flight of new brews on Friday, with proceeds benefiting the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
