Phyllis Madeline Collum, of Moore, passed away Oct. 25, 2020, at the age of 88. She was born on Feb. 12, 1932, in Terrell, OK to Arthur Alexander and Bertha Gertrude (Duncan) Henderson. Hobbies were going to church, being outside, gardening, raising flowers, cooking, ceramics, crafts, sewing, making Halloween costumes, crocheting and decorating for all the holidays, especially Christmas. Phyllis enjoyed watching the Olympics, especially ice skating. She loved watching the Macy’s Christmas Day Parade and the Rose Bowl Parade. Phyllis worked for 30 years for the Oklahoma State Health Department. She was a happy person with great strength. Phyllis, her brother and her sisters were extremely close and all helped to raise each other’s children. She was a longtime member of Sherwood Baptist Church, Capitol Hill Full Gospel Church and One Hope Family Ministries. Phyllis held many offices and taught classes throughout her Christian life. She enjoyed listening to Christian and traditiona­l country music. Phyllis loved people, and everyone who met her instantly loved her. She is survived by four sons, Charley Collum & wife Sandra, of OKC; Ernest Clyde Collum, of OKC; Kermit Collum, of OKC; and Phillip Collum, of OKC; one sister, Kathryn Stevens & husband Judd, of Milton, FL; two sisters, Louise Guinn and Tressie Lawson; and a host of grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 50 years, Kenneth Collum; brother, Ardis Henderson; and sister, Virginia Maxine. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore. Interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City.
